LTS Global Solutions has completed a major racking expansion project at its Hams Hall warehouse, creating 17,000 additional pallet spaces and significantly increasing capacity to support growing demand from existing and new customers.
The investment, which totals £500,000, has expanded the company’s 130,000 square foot storage capacity in Coleshill from approximately 10,000 pallet spaces to around 27,000 pallet spaces.
LTS’ Hams Hall site plays a central role in the company’s end to end logistics offering, which includes warehousing, transport, freight forwarding and value added supply chain services – and its expanded capacity will further provide customers with access to secure, scalable storage solutions and efficient nationwide distribution links.
The project forms part of LTS’ ambitious and ongoing long term growth strategy, which will see the business target revenues in excess of £23 million by 2030 through continued investment in infrastructure, technology and customer service.
The additional capacity also comes at a poignant time for LTS, as the business is experiencing a sharp increase in demand for its warehousing services, driven by a series of new contract wins in recent months and continued strong growth across its logistics division.
With the company already 14% ahead of last year’s performance, the additional capacity will enable it to accommodate to this increased demand, helping it support new and existing customers and provide greater flexibility for businesses looking to scale their operations.
Alongside the new racking installation, LTS has invested in an additional Linde Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklift truck, enabling the business to maximise operational efficiency while maintaining its high service standards as activity levels across the facility continue to increase.
Dave Hands, managing director at LTS Global Solutions, said: ‘We are delighted that the racking expansion at our site in Coleshill is finally complete.
‘The project has been many months in the making but to see it finally come to fruition is hugely exciting as the opportunity it brings us as a business to scale is nothing short of significant. Not only does the additional capacity allow us to support our existing customers as they grow, but it also ensures that we have the infrastructure in place to cater to new clients and respond quickly to increasing demand.’
Dave continued, ‘We have experienced steady growth across the business over the past 12 months, and this investment demonstrates our commitment to staying ahead of that, rather than reacting to it.
‘By expanding our warehousing capabilities and investing in new equipment, we are strengthening our ability to deliver the flexible, reliable and scalable logistics solutions our customers rely on, and that we are known for.
‘We see this project as a sizeable leaps towards our pending growth plans, and with demand for our services continuing to increase over this past year, it conveniently puts us in a strong position to capitalise on new opportunities as they come about over the coming months and years.’
