HTC Group is expanding its partnership with same day delivery business Gophr, providing rapid, flexible transport support across its ten branches in the South of England.
Gophr will support HTC Group with urgent one hour parts deliveries, same day courier services and additional capacity support during periods of increased demand as well as staff holiday and sickness cover.
Through Gophr’s on-demand courier network and one hour delivery service, HTC Group will have access to urgent deliveries as requirements arise, with real time tracking and proof of delivery providing end to end visibility.
The partnership will be a key cog in keeping commercial vehicles on the road, where every hour counts. A delayed part can mean disrupted routes and hold ups on jobs, and can impact reliability and commercial relationships. Working with Gophr will mean that HTC Group will minimise the number of revenue generating vehicles standing still.
While HTC Group already has an extensive parts stock, as well as its own delivery operation, Gophr will provide a layer of resilience when time critical requirements fall outside planned delivery routes or internal capacity is stretched. Essential parts will therefore be able to be delivered to stranded vehicles without being constrained by schedules.
HTC Group supplies DAF Genuine Parts alongside TRP parts for all makes and Stellantis parts. The group also provides sales, servicing and repairs for DAF Trucks, Maxus and Fiat Professional commercial vehicles.
Andrew Moreton, group parts sales manager at HTC Group, said: ‘Our customers rely on us to keep vehicles on the road, so when a part is needed urgently, time is very much money. They can’t afford to have stationary vehicles.
‘We have a strong delivery operation across our branches, but there will always be those moments when the picture changes rapidly, or extra capacity is needed. It is vital that you have a flexible and agile response, and our expanded partnership with Gophr gives us that, ensuring we meet the level that our customers expect.’
Claire Mullarkey, national business development manager at Gophr, commented: ‘Commercial vehicle parts delivery is a different proposition from moving high volumes of predictable orders. One missing component can be the difference between a truck returning to service and sitting in a workshop for another day.
‘Our role is to complement HTC Group’s existing network with responsive capacity at the moments it matters most. Whether that is an urgent one hour delivery, a same day movement between branches or cover when resources are stretched, we can help get the right part to the right place before a small delay becomes a much higher operational cost.’
