The BB-EV has been developed by British engineers with aerospace and automotive experience following extensive discussions with current users of commercial e-cargo bikes, talking to both the management and their mechanics to better understand their requirements from commercial and maintenance standpoints.
BB-EV provides a British-designed and engineered ground-up breakthrough in EV-cargo with an ultra-reliable, high production output, low-cost total solution for urban last-mile delivery and logistics needs.
The BB-EV has been manufactured with advanced production methods and designed to facilitate modular repairs, where elements can be easily replaced when needed quickly and efficiently, allowing the bike to be promptly returned to service.
The bikes are fully end-of-life recyclable and feature components that are ISO, UL compliant and certified. Key features include:

- Locate and monitor the location of every BEE in real time
- Monitor the entire electronic system of each BEE and report faults in real time
- Monitor and control battery power to the drive motors to ensure maximum efficiency and range. Up to +15% extended range capability.
- FTEX integrated systems allow users to have complete real-time access to their entire fleet, which minimises downtime and optimises total efficiency.
- The data provided by FTEX provides a valuable data resource to BB-EV fleet users.

BB-EV e-cargo bikes offer customisable cargo pods to suit individual client needs. A range of pods will be available including cargo pods, flatbed pods and wire cage pods suitable for refuse collection or landscaping businesses. The versatility of the pod concept means that operators can maximise profits and improve their financial bottom lines.
BB-EV e-cargo bikes come equipped with 4.62KW -48V/12V 3 cell ‘hot-swap’ batteries as standard, and with 12 battery stall ‘hot-swap’ recharging cabinets available. Safety and comfort are prioritised with features such as a driver cabin safety cell, adjustable ergonomic driver seat with seat belt, lights, four surround proximity detectors, rear reversing camera and a large LCD visual display screen.
The bikes boast a four calliper, oversize disc hydraulic braking system with handbrake and electric regen, forged magnesium rear wheels fitted with heavy-duty, wide, custom cargo tires/tubes for maximum durability/longevity and a fully electric onboard cargo pod lift/lower system. They offer the lowest cost-per-mile operating costs of any current EV-cargo vehicle.
