Pall-Ex Logistics has marked a strong year after merging its five regional sites under a single brand.
The consolidation, covering locations in Northampton, Essex, Dorset, Devon & Cornwall, and Surrey, along with the launch of the UK Storage and Fulfilment Network and its 3PL division, has led to improved service and higher freight volumes.
With over £230,000 invested in its main 3PL warehouse in Northampton and new warehouse management technology, Pall-Ex Logistics now offers more than pallet distribution, including warehousing, fulfilment, container devanning, and general haulage.
Despite challenges in the logistics sector, the company has expanded commercial opportunities, with 120 shareholder members joining the Storage and Fulfilment Network to store over 250,000 pallets.
Key milestones over the past year include Paul Pegg’s appointment as managing director and the rollout of NexusWMS.
Pegg said: “We are proud of everything that we have achieved over the last 12 months at Pall-Ex Logistics and despite the challenges faced across the sector, we are continuing to see growth in all areas of the business, particularly in the warehousing and 3PL division.
“The goal of bringing together our owned operations sites was to streamline services and provide customers with a complete freight solution, and it is great to reflect on how the business has gone from strength to strength over the last year. Being shortlisted for the Innovation Award is a real highlight, as it acknowledges our commitment to future-proofing the business to ensure the success of our members.
“Pall-Ex Logistics has now successfully established itself as a comprehensive logistics provider thanks to the addition of the Storage and Fulfilment Network and 3PL services to our already successful pallet distribution offering.”
