The UK-based logistics specialist in express parcel and freight services with a strong focus on the US market, has named Matthew Ware as its new Chief Executive Officer, as the company prepares to scale operations amid booming global e-commerce demand.
Ware joins Mark 3 from CFL, the only on-site express courier handler at Heathrow Airport, where he served as CEO for eight years.
During his tenure, CFL significantly expanded its global airline partnerships and operational footprint. Prior to CFL, Ware spent 16 years in senior roles at FedEx, bringing extensive experience in international logistics and express shipping.
“I am delighted to be joining Mark 3 at this time,” said Ware. “The global trading ecosystem has recently suffered some major shocks, but we are well positioned to help our customers continue to import and export efficiently and cost-effectively.”
Founded in 1990, Mark 3 International has grown to become a leading player in UK-US trade logistics, with warehousing and customs clearance facilities at both Heathrow and JFK Airport in New York.
The company has developed deep expertise in handling e-commerce shipments into the US, a market that continues to dominate global online retail.
According to data from ECDB, global e-commerce revenue is expected to reach US$5 trillion in 2025, with 70% of that trade concentrated in the US and China.
The UK remains the third largest e-commerce market, providing key opportunities for exporters.
