New emissions tracking tool aims to help transport companies measure and manage their carbon footprint while meeting regulatory requirements.
Logistics UK has launched a new emissions reporting service designed to support transport companies in measuring and reducing their carbon footprint. The “Emissions Reporting for Transport” tool provides members with accurate CO2 emissions data to aid regulatory compliance and meet customer sustainability requirements.
The service comes at a time when the logistics sector is increasingly focused on decarbonisation, with many companies already adopting alternative fuels and technologies. Logistics UK has partnered with management and technology consulting firm BearingPoint to deliver the service, which provides emissions data for legislative compliance, internal reporting and target tracking.
“Our members recognise the long-term benefits of carbon reporting and understand the need to measure CO2 emissions to provide trusted records that their decarbonisation plans are effective,” said Al Richardson, head of membership & affinities at Logistics UK. “We are excited to partner with BearingPoint to offer this valuable service to our members and with the increasing need for accurate carbon footprint calculations, our members will benefit greatly from the detailed emissions reporting provided by BearingPoint’s technology.”
