InXpress UK and InXpress SA unite to donate 150 care packages for cancer patients

International shipping and logistics expert, InXpress organised a multi-country initiative in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In line with InXpress’s mission to give back, InXpress UK’s head office collaborated with InXpress South Africa on a campaign to deliver 150 care packages to cancer patients currently undergoing chemotherapy in South Africa.

The care packages were funded by 16 InXpress South Africa franchisees, along with the UK InXpress Gives Back committee, who donated money to the cause by buying 30 packages.

InXpress successfully delivered over 150 care packages to Oncology centres across South Africa, including ABJ Oncology Midstream and Wilgers, Unitas Radiology and Oncology, and CancerCare at Cape Gate and Panorama Oncology.

On a mission to help as many people as possible, InXpress provided care packages for  patients with various types of cancer, including pancreatic, cervical, and ovarian cancer along with breast cancer. The care packages included self-care items that patients need the most while undergoing chemotherapy.

Through the initiative, InXpress wishes to educate the public and its employees on the signs of cancer symptoms and how to best can spot them and raise awareness of breast cancer and other types of cancers.

“As breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women in the world, it was really important for us to collaborate on this important cause.” Comments Melanie Martin, Global Head of Marketing at InXpress

“It was great to work together with InXpress’ South African office on this initiative and help over a hundred cancer patients during the time they need it the most. Giving back to those less fortunate at home and overseas has always been part of InXpress’ company ethos.”

“We aim to do quarterly initiatives at InXpress South Africa to help make a difference in our community,  and it was fantastic to work with the UK head office on this impactful initiative.” Comments Tersia Visagie, Director and Country Manager of  InXpress SA

“We hope our care packages helped make cancer patients feel a little bit better during such a difficult time.”
