Strategic collaboration aims to enhance efficiency
CMA CGM and Google have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) across CMA CGM’s global operations. Utilising Google’s AI solutions and expert insights, CMA CGM aims to empower employee decision-making through newly developed programs and tools tailored for key workflows.
This collaboration seeks to revolutionise shipping by enhancing efficiency, responsiveness, and adaptability to market fluctuations, leading to faster and more responsive customer service. CMA CGM will optimise vessel routes, container handling, and inventory management, ensuring timely delivery of goods while minimising costs and carbon footprints.
CEVA Logistics, a subsidiary of CMA CGM, will lead the data-driven future of logistics, starting with smart warehouse management to improve operations across its 10.3 million square meters of warehouse space. The Google-powered smart management tool will enhance volume and demand forecasting for better operational planning.
The partnership will benefit all CMA CGM employees through high-impact training sessions at TANGRAM, the Group’s excellence center for learning and innovation. This collaboration aligns with CMA CGM’s broader strategy to transform its business through AI innovation, complementing investments in Mistral AI, PoolSide, Dataiku, and the open science lab Kyutai.
